I don’t have medical insurance. Can I get a price quote on my procedure?
If you do not have insurance and are concerned about payment, please contact the TRG Business Office and we will be happy to give you an estimate and work with you setting up a reasonable payment plan. We do not charge interest on our payment plans.
Is there a discount for cash payment?
Yes. A discount will be applied to the professional fee for cash payment. Please call the business office for rates.
Does TRG bill my insurance or do I?
If TRG is contracted with your medical plan, we will bill your insurance company or third party administrator directly and then bill you for any patient balance that is not covered.
Will my exam be covered by my insurance?
How much your insurance plan pays for our services depends on the plan’s design. You may wish to contact your insurance plan prior to your service.
Does my exam require a referral?
Many plans require that you have a referral from your primary care physician (PCP) to the radiologist specialist. Please check with your insurance company to see if a referral is necessary.
Does my exam require pre-authorization?
Most insurance plans are now requiring pre-authorization for advanced medical imaging such as MRI, CT, and PET scans and other nuclear medicine imaging. Pre-authorizations need to be handled by the referring physician (either your PCP or specialist, depending on your plan). Please discuss this with your referring physician to ensure his/her office is obtaining proper authorization.

TRG contracts with most health insurance companies. This list is not all-inclusive, but has the major carriers we contract with. If your insurer is not on the list, please contact our office at 503-292-9108 to see if we are contracted.
